Zara Spring Fashion 2013

ZARA 2013 SPRING/SUMMER COLLECTION

One of the best things about the changing of the seasons is the change of fashion that follows. Living in Southern California we don’t get a lot of changing weather, but we have TONS of changing styles. When Zara released their 2013 Spring/Summer collection I was extremely excited because I found so many articles of clothing that I immediately fell in love with. For the sake of sparing you all hours of being subjected to my obsession, I picked out a few articles of clothing from both the women and men collections to provide some outfit inspirations!

Although there were many pieces I wanted to pull from the women’s collection, I found these to be some of the best to put together a chic and classic look:

The pattern of the shirt gives it a classic feel as it is simple black and white pallet. Although the pattern has a vintage look, the style of the shirt is very modern as it is loose in fit and flows much like the popular fit of today’s shirts. What drew me to the pants was the color. I am a sucker for neutral colors because their versatility allows me to feel like I am really getting my money’s worth. The linen jacket finalizes this chic look as a form fitting piece of outerwear that can be used all year round.

(This look consists of Zara’s Polka Dot Printed Shirt, Coated Trousers With Zips, and a Linen Jacket With Fold-Over Lapel. Outfit total: $250

If we’re being honest, there are many times you can find me browsing the men’s section in a store just because I love men’s attire almost as much as my own. The articles of clothing I chose from the men’s collection are charming and laid-back:

Even though this is more of a casual outfit, don’t be afraid to wear it in a semi-formal setting. The use of a darker denim opposed to a light and pairing it with trousers opposed to jeans is what gives this look the ability to be a step above casual. Finally the Pièce de résistance, the faux leather jacket, not only adds to the formality of the look, but is a great piece that can be used for many settings. It is so hard to find a faux leather pieces, and this my friends, is a great one.

Hopefully these picks give you a few ideas to go out and get creative with your own look this season. If you’re in a fashion slump, go out and check out other spring and summer lines for more inspiration!
